Data Retention
Hailer keeps personal data only as long as it is needed to provide the service or to meet legal requirements.
How long we keep data

| Account and workspace content | Until deleted by the user or the workspace administrator |
| Sign-in sessions | Removed after 4 weeks of inactivity |
| System logs | 30 days |
| Workspace audit log | Kept with the workspace |
| Database backups | Up to 12 months |
| Billing and accounting records | As long as required by law |
When an account is deleted
- The user is removed from all workspaces, teams and group discussions.
- Personal details such as email address, password, location and profile picture are removed.
- Content the user created in a workspace, such as messages and activities, belongs to the workspace and stays there.
- Data in backups is removed as backups expire.
